Auckland Blues 2005 Team
The 2010 FIFA World Cup hosted by South Africa had 32 international teams which qualified. These teams have all descended upon South Africa in the hopes of winning the esteemed tournament. Slowly, they are being whittled away until two teams will be left to compete in the final on the 11 July.
The teams were drawn into eight groups of four for the first round of the tournament and only two teams in each group go through to the next round, depending on their points and goal differences. This is part of a series on the teams of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and focuses on Group C.
Group C - England
England, also known as The Three Lions are appearing in the FIFA World Cup for the thirteenth time. They are ranked eighth in the world and their football kit is red, white and blue. The English team’s coach is Fabio Capello and they are captained by Rio Ferdinand, who also plays for Manchester United. England won the World Cup in 1966 and reached the semifinals in 1990.
